DIRAC Live Room Correction

Unlock the full potential of your home theater speaker by automatically calibrating the sound to your specific room with DIRAC Live. Calibration is done via one of two methods. After connecting the receiver to the internet, you can either use the included wired microphone and your smartphone, or use the DIRAC Live Windows or macOS app with an (optional) 3rd-party USB mic.

When playing IMAX Enhanced-compatible films through the VSX-LX505 in IMAX Enhanced Mode, you’ll enjoy re-mastered 4K HDR visuals and powerful sound that’s more authentic to what the filmmaker and sound editor intended you to see and hear.

Built-In Streaming

You can find and stream music through the VSX-LX505 receiver over your home’s internet connection. The LX505 gives you built-in access to Spotify, TIDAL, Deezer, TuneIn, and Pandora.

Enhanced Gaming

With a console that supports HDMI 2.1, you can access an array of gaming-specific technologies that work to provide smooth 4K gameplay. You get 4K HDR pass-through at 120 Hz for amazing visuals and realistic response times. ALLM allows the console to automatically select your TV’s game mode, while both VRR and QFT work to minimize lag and graphic tearing.

Bi-Directional Bluetooth

Stream from your device to the receiver using SBC or AAC codecs, or transmit audio playing through the AVR to compatible wireless headphones using SBC, aptX, or the 24-bit aptX HD codec.

Zone 2 HDMI Switching

Two different, high-quality video signals can be output to two separate rooms in your home and watched simultaneously. One room can enjoy full 8K resolution at 60 Hz, while the other can view 4K content at 120 Hz.

Sonos Certified

Whether you’re starting a new Sonos system using an optional Sonos Port or already have an existing Sonos home sound system, you’ll be able to remotely manage it using Sonos Volume Pass-Through on the mobile Sonos app. Use it to wake devices, change inputs, and play your content at specific volumes.

MCACC Audio Room Tuning

MCACC automatically adjusts the sound based on your room and speakers. Up to nine positions can be saved to accommodate for small to large spaces. Using Auto Phase Control Plus, real-time analysis of the phase difference in your room is done, automatically compensating for the gap between the LFE and main signals. By suppressing the standing waves between walls or between your ceiling and floor, the end result is clear highs and stronger lows.

Roon-Tested

When connecting your Roon-Tested devices to the VSX-LX505, you can enjoy a managed playback experience for your music library.

DTS Play-Fi Ready

Multi-room audio playback is possible when using DTS Play-Fi and the Pioneer Music Control app with a compatible Apple or Android mobile device. Using compatible devices throughout your home, you can play music from a variety of sources to every room simultaneously, or to a specific group of rooms. You can stream from popular online services, networked media servers in your home, or other devices you may own over Wi-Fi.
